In the first place, I hope that you excuse my poor English. It requires to work an Unix or similar server with php4 (or higher) support. The client can be any browser supporting JavaScript with flash 5 o higher plug-in. Developing flash chat is free, you can use and modify as you want.

To install X7 Chat you must have PHP Version 4+ and MySql Version 3+.
After making sure that you have the correct versions of PHP and MySql
please follow the following steps.

Open the file 'config.php' in a text editor on your home computer, and follow the instructions there to configure the workings of the chatroom. Upload this file to the chat subdirectory.

Just upload the files you need, in regard to the mode (signed or unsigned) you want. Upload any extra files, such as language files or images and sound.

1. Unzip/Unpack php_simpleshout_1_6_0.zip to your desk or server
2. Open config.php - Line 3 requires editing to the correct path of the shoutbox, all others are optional
4. CHMOD all data.dat to 777 (Could be different depending on your server, ask your hosting provider if 777 doesn't work)
