StarClix 1.0 is a simple PHP script written by Tara, with a flat files database as a backend. It is an elaborate clicks tracker, extending the ordinary features of a clicks tracker to a whole new level.

The javascript part captures clicks an oinks and invokes the php part when a surfer clicks a link. The link is recorded in a flat file name linktrack.txt. You can import the file into MS Access or your favorite spreadsheet program and get stats on where your surfers are heading.

Down stat is a php download counter that runs on text database for files that you want to track. Choose to have the program guarded by password and username. Manually, specifying a text file, or scan a directory for files to be added. Create categories in the fly, set bandwidth limits, email hit notifications , passwords for files.

What does downloadpro do? Well, if you don't want visitors to see the full url of your downloads, so that people can only download your files from your site, you can hide them. Instead, you link to download.php?file=x, where x is the id of the file you want them to be served, and they will download the same files, however the address remains masked. All they see is download.php, which acts as a barrier between your files, and your visitors, and prevents what is known as 'leeching'.
